Tennis Elbow 2006 is a tennis simulation game that pits you against 300 opponents across 125 events in a season-long World Tour. The game uses two ranking systems one tracking the last 52 weeks and another locked to a single calendar year to determine standings. You can build your player as a volleyer defender puncher or all-rounder adjusting kit colors and skill priorities. Losing matches gives bigger rewards letting you allocate points toward faster serves sharper accuracy quicker footwork or higher jumps. The game supports singles doubles and 2v1 matches with online multiplayer options for competitive play. Seven different court surfaces from clay to indoor synthetic affect how matches unfold. Replay footage lets you watch key moments in slow motion or rewind them for analysis. While it lacks modern polish the focus on skill progression and varied match types made it a niche hit for tennis fans in its era.
Single matches can be two against one, as well as the more conventional singles and doubles. Network and internet play is offered. There are seven distinct court types - clay, grass, hard, blue-green hard, synthetic, indoor hard and indoor synthetic. Action replays can be viewed in slow motion, fast speed, and rewound.
