Terrorist Takedown: Payback follows a direct mission structure with 10 set-piece objectives. Players alternate between first-person shooting and third-person helicopter controls across fixed paths. Gunfights and explosive set pieces dominate the action with minimal open exploration. The camera switches perspectives during specific sequences but maintains a linear progression through each level. Developed by City Interactive and released in late 2005 this PC exclusive sticks closely to its predecessor's formula. The blend of close quarters combat and aerial segments offers brief variety but little deviation from rail shooter conventions. With no multiplayer mode or branching scenarios the focus remains on straightforward completion of pre-scripted events.
