Tetrapod is a fast paced arcade shooter that plays like Asteroids with added chaos. You control a ship that moves forward shoots and rotates to take down waves of enemies. Early levels feature swarms of killer bees while later stages throw red devils and toxic orbs at you. The twist comes from floating pods that explode into lizards when shot. These creatures immediately target whatever is closest which could be you or the very enemies you’re trying to kill. The game’s clever hazard system turns friendly fire into a constant threat. With 1984 era BBC Micro tech it balances tight controls and escalating difficulty. The random AI of the lizards creates unpredictable moments that test your reflexes and positioning. It’s a short but intense experience that uses simple mechanics to keep you on edge.
