This version skips features like the hold function or four block preview since it sticks strictly to the original ruleset. The keyboard controls are locked in place too, so you cannot swap them out for a different setup. The game feels stripped down because it removes everything that was added to later Tetris entries. It focuses purely on getting a high score as the pieces fall faster and faster. Neave Interactive built this browser version to feel like the arcade cabinet experience from decades ago. There are no complex mechanics or hidden systems to learn, just the core loop of stacking blocks before they pile up to the top.
