The Adventures of Dr. Franken casts you as Franky, a madcap scientist frantically searching for his girlfriend Bitsy after she gets lost in the mail. This 1993 SNES platformer tasks you with navigating floating stages, dodging enemies, and using a simple but effective kick move to clear obstacles. Each level hides a package you must retrieve while solving basic switch-based puzzles. The straightforward mechanics focus on precise jumps and timing as you leap between platforms and blast through crowds of foes. With 20 levels plus four bonus stages, the game leans into classic 2D platforming without frills. What sticks is the absurd premise, mailing a disassembled girlfriend to New York, paired with the era’s charm. While not remembered as a genre-definer, it offers a nostalgic fix for fans of early ’90s platformers. The quirky story and repetitive but functional level design make it a curiosity piece. At just 20 levels, it’s short but playable for those seeking a no-frills throwback. Its SNES release date and MotiveTime’s early catalog place it squarely in retro collector territory.
Franky and his girlfriend Bitsy are planning a vacation to New York. There's just one problem: Bitsy doesn't have a passport. Our protagonist comes up with a brilliant idea: He takes Bitsy apart and mails her to New York in different packages, where he will put her back together. Unfortunately for the couple, Bitsy has been lost in the mail. It is up to Franky to find her parts and put her back together.
