The Anacrusis is a co-op first-person shooter where you and up to three friends defend a giant starship from endless waves of aliens. Developed by Stray Bombay, it drops you into chaotic gunfights with procedurally generated layouts and enemy placements. Each playthrough offers new challenges as you unlock customization options for weapons and abilities that sync with your teammates. The single-player mode lets you tackle missions alone but the game really clicks in co-op, where communication and teamwork decide survival. Set in a future where corporate greed has pushed humanity to the galaxy's edge, the story unfolds through four distinct characters with clashing skills and backstories. Storyline

In the distant future, mighty corporations have carried humanity to the fringes of the galaxy. After expanding unfettered across tens of thousands of systems--all devoid of intelligent life--humanity has grown complacent, until disaster strikes. Work together and survive the alien hordes! The first season of The Anacrusis tells the story of four unlikely survivors--Nessa, Guion, Liu, and Lance--who are unwilling combatants in the battle to defend humanity from the alien menace.
