The Complex: Expedition drops you into the role of a researcher for MagWave, a group exploring a mysterious structure known as the Complex. When things go sideways during an expedition, you're stranded in an endless labyrinth of corridors. You scavenge for supplies and navigate the confusing environment while avoiding whatever dangers lurk in the shadows, all while trying to uncover the truth behind the Complex. What sets The Complex apart is its oppressive atmosphere and minimalist approach. The endless hallways create claustrophobia despite the vastness, and the game's ambiguity leaves much to interpretation. Early builds from pgWave highlight tight environmental storytelling and a focus on psychological unease over jump scares. With a July 2025 release date, it's a slow-burn experience that leans into isolation and mystery.
