About

You play as Mason Henning, an overthinking engineer who receives a mysterious gift stay at the expensive Coneflower Hotel. You expect luxury but find yourself stuck in a snowy lodge dealing with bizarre characters and strange situations. The gameplay mixes first-person action with adventure mechanics and survival horror elements while you navigate a surreal world where violent nightmares seem to bleed into reality. Mason spends his days handling peaceful tasks before things get weird, forcing you to solve puzzles and survive the escalating chaos around you. This indie title leans heavily on its eccentric loop rather than polished execution. One user who spent nearly 19 hours noting a 4.0 out of 10 score described the game as an experiment that tries too hard to cram in ideas until it almost boils over. The final result feels half-baked according to that review, even though the project draws clear inspiration from RPG Maker games and classics like Killer7. You get a story full of weird touches ranging from comedic slice of life moments to genuine horror without ever settling into a consistent tone or feeling fully finished.

Storyline

Mason Henning, an apathetic and highly overthinking engineer, gets as a mysterious gift some days of free stay at The Coneflower Hotel, the most expensive hotel in the world. But instead of being welcomed by a warm sauna and expensive food, he sees himself in a regular snow lodging, while dealing with bizarre people and weird situations. While his daytime activities are rather peaceful, Mason starts having weird and violent nightmares which also seem to influence reality.

The Coneflower Dilemma tries to cram so many weird ideas into one pot it almost boils over, but the final dish feels more like a half-baked experiment than a cohesive experience. The first-person survival horror elements are decently creepy—those flickering lights and creaky floo...
