The Crooked Man is a narrative-driven adventure where you follow David Hoover as he navigates a crumbling apartment filled with unsettling secrets. After moving into a new space during a personal low, strange events push him to investigate his predecessor’s life. The game blends slow-burn mystery with RPG elements as you piece together clues about the building’s dark history. Exploration is key, every room hints at a deeper story, and dialogue choices shape how David confronts his own struggles. This indie title stands out for its tense atmosphere and layered storytelling. Set in a single location, it uses tight pacing and eerie sound design to build unease. With a 72% positive rating on Steam, players praise its psychological horror approach and morally gray decisions. The apartment itself feels like a character, its decaying walls hiding more than just one occupant’s past. Short but impactful, it leans into ambiguity, leaving many questions unanswered but lingers in your mind.
