About

The Disguiser of Fate follows a nameless knight in black armor who stumbles upon a mask that alters reality. Set in a fractured fantasy world, the game blends turn-based combat with exploration as you piece together the knight’s fragmented past. Choices matter here, wearing the mask shifts the environment and narrative, sending you to surreal locations like a bustling city frozen in time. You partner with Air, a slave maid with her own secrets, as you uncover why your previous world was destroyed and how to stop history from repeating. The game’s strongest points are its moody atmosphere and branching storylines. While combat is straightforward, the mask’s ability to warp settings adds strategic depth. Some players note pacing dips in mid-game quests, but the ending’s emotional weight and twist on fate vs free will have earned praise from RPG fans. With a 78% positive rating on Steam, it’s a niche pick for those craving a slower, story-driven adventure.

Storyline

Drifting in an endless dead world for an unknown duration and an unknown mileage, a nameless knight in black armor sets foot on an island where time stops. Here, he finds a reputedly fate-changing mask. After putting on the mask, he is teleported somewhere strange. It is a noisy city full of flowers and grass. All of this is like a dream for him plagued by vague memories. Here, he meets a slave maid named Air. Together, they embark on an unknown journey. During the journey, the nameless knight gradually recalls his past world and the reason why he comes here.
