"Even more than Monopoly, The Game of Life is a board game from a bygone era. Once upon a time, the nice, meandering journey through suburban life and expectations thereof that the game depicted was considered a representation of a happy, wholesome life experience, but in 2021 lionising that seems incredibly passe. Sticking a "2" next to the title while not doing much to address this dissonance doesn't paper over the fact that very few people actually want to play The Game of Life these days."

The Game of Life: Super Jinsei Game brings the classic board game to the Super Famicom with a focus on strategic decision-making. Up to four players navigate life stages from childhood through adulthood, making choices that impact their financial success. Each turn involves moving around a board filled with events that boost or drain resources. Education paths, career decisions, and random challenges shape your journey. The goal is simple: accumulate the most money by the end to claim victory. This title launched a trilogy from Takara, with Geo Factory handling the first entry before KID developed the sequels. While it lacks modern mechanics, its straightforward blend of planning and luck appeals to fans of turn-based strategy. The game’s structure mirrors its tabletop roots but adds digital convenience for multiplayer gatherings. Its 1994 release positioned it as a family-friendly alternative to more complex RPGs on the system.
