About

The Game Paradise: Master of Shooting is a chaotic shooter with adventure elements that drops players into a hijacked amusement arcade. Pick from five characters each with distinct abilities and blast through a wacky mix of arcade staples like pinball machines fruit machines and circuit boards. Gameplay alternates between rapid fire combat and navigating quirky stage hazards while fending off enemies hiding in every cabinet and crevice. The Sega Saturn version adds an auto-bomber feature to help with tougher sections plus extra levels and characters. A bizarre skit mode showcases warped character antics between stages but you can stick to the original arcade version if preferred. The game’s niche charm lies in its over-the-top setting and the way it turns classic arcade hardware into interactive battlegrounds. While the story about a vengeful scientist and a game center clerk is delightfully absurd the real draw is the frenetic action and the Sega Saturn’s expanded content. Despite being nearly three decades old it still has a cult following with retro players praising its inventive use of arcade aesthetics.

Storyline

Genius Yamada, a mad scientist with a plan for world domination, has taken over a game machine at the You&Me Kamiyoga game center in Kamiyoga, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, for starters. Yuki Ito, a clerk at the game center, tries to solve the problem during her working hours by forcibly piecing together her own collection of game boards and asking the protagonists of each game to help her defeat Genius Yamada.
