The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie is a side scrolling adventure with platforming and puzzle elements. Play as either character in simultaneous co op or solo mode. Each character uses identical controls and progresses through levels by collecting keys and defeating bosses. Costumes grant unique skills like vacuuming enemies into coins, wall climbing with a grappling hook, or bouncing around while shooting corks. Upgrades for these outfits can be purchased at in level shops. The Genesis version adds a modified final boss and an extra room in the third stage. This game stands out for its co op focus which lets players team up without taking turns. The password system lets you save progress between sessions a rarity in 90s cartridge titles.
