This third person shooter serves up arcade-style zombie carnage with a side of 90s B-movie charm. You and a buddy take on hordes of mutants in a Louisiana bayou, using revolvers shotguns and a crossbow that fires explosive bolts. The extended version adds seven remastered levels plus two new ones filled with baby mutants and over-the-top set pieces. Aim for heads and weak points to rack up combo multipliers while managing ammo and avoiding swarming enemies. Co-op play lets you team up for better damage scaling though you'll still need to watch each other's backs when the waves get brutal. The 3D visuals pop with colorful gore effects and cartoonish creature designs that lean into the campy tone. Community reports note the co-op mode feels more balanced this time around with better weapon sharing and synchronized respawns. With its fast paced action and optional challenge rooms for extra points the game maintains a replay value above average for the genre. Available only on PS3 but still holds up as a party favorite for groups that enjoy chaotic zombie bashes with a retro sheen.
In 1991, rookie AMS agent G and Detective Isaac Washington investigate disappearances and a mutant outbreak in Bayou City, Louisiana. They storm the mansion of Papa Caesar, a crime lord who killed Isaac's father. Caesar flees, while disabled scientist Jasper Guns, whom Caesar used, is mutated after injecting himself with an unknown substance. After defeating Jasper, G and Isaac meet his sister, stripper Varla Guns, who seeks revenge on Caesar.
