The Last Chronomancer is a turn-based RPG where you control six distinct heroes navigating a large story of time travel and impending catastrophe. Set in a retro fantasy world, the game blends class-based progression with branching narratives that shape relationships and outcomes. As Shae, a time-wielding protagonist, you’ll guide your party from a mountain town through escalating conflicts, where each battle and dialogue choice pushes the group toward an uncertain future. Combat pauses for strategic turns, letting you exploit abilities and terrain to overcome enemies. The story shifts based on your decisions, leading to one of several endings as the heroes confront a threat that could erase existence itself. What sets it apart is the depth of character development and the weight of choices. With six playable heroes, each path you take alters not just the plot but how characters interact and grow. The retro pixel art and deliberate pacing cater to players who enjoy thoughtful strategy over fast-paced action. While release data is still fresh, early builds suggest a strong focus on narrative consequence and tactical variety. Its single-player design ensures every playthrough feels personal, with no two groups evolving exactly the same way.
The Chronomancer, Shae, travels through the River of Time. Recently she has discovered that a tragic event is coming, that will wipe out everything, from the planet, to Time itself. She seeks to aid Six Heroes in their Journey to stop the oncoming Great Evil. The Heroes begin their Journey in the Mountain Town of Pentam, and have come together to participate in the annual Kobold Hunt. The event attracts Visitors, Warriors, and Adventures from all over the planet. This particular Kobold Hunt will have a very unusual outcome. The Heroes will grow, develop, and change as the story progresses. Relationships will be formed, and blood will be spilled.
