The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Duo follows Link and Zelda as they travel to the kingdom of Halitia to stop Ganondorf. Players control both characters and switch between them to solve environmental puzzles requiring dual perspectives. Combat and exploration remain straightforward but lack the polish of earlier entries. Progress hinges on collecting lost items while navigating Ganondorf’s traps. The dual-character mechanic is the game’s defining feature but also its biggest limitation. While some puzzles cleverly use the two protagonists, many feel forced or poorly implemented. Critics called it a "step forward in design but backward in execution" with a Metacritic score of 42. A small fanbase appreciates its ambition, but frequent bugs and repetitive enemies hurt its reputation. Shorter sections showcase potential, but the overall experience remains uneven.
After the defeat of Ganondorf, he retreated to the neighbouring nation of Halitia. Link tries to stop him once again, but is falling into Ganondorf's trap and being robbed of all his items. Now Link is not only trying to save the population of Halitia but also trying to find all his lost items. On his journey he is accompanied by Zelda. Can both of them stop Ganondorf from enslaving the nation of Halitia?
