You perform a ritual that opens every door and container in your house. Now you have to shut them all before midnight or get punished. This first-person horror game turns mundane tasks into frantic scrambles. Every drawer, cabinet, and window becomes a potential entry point for a force that takes something vital if it slips in. The clock ticks as you scramble through rooms, slamming objects shut while a shadowy figure lurks nearby. The real terror comes from the balance of exploration and paranoia. A separate entity patrols your home, hinting at worse things coming. Glance at the "Fields" on screen and you trigger a chase sequence where you must barricade yourself in a specific room. Ravine Interactive’s debut leans into claustrophobic tension, with 80% of early testers reporting sleepless nights according to Steam community polls. Out August 5th on PC.
The Man in the Fields is an ancient ritual that rewards the player with wealth and safety. During the ritual every door and item that can be opened in the player’s house will be open. The player must close everything before midnight to prevent The Man in the Fields from getting in. Even if there is the smallest box left open, it will be able to get in and take away something you can’t get ahead without. During the ritual you may or may not encounter a shadowy man in your house. He is not The Man in the Fields, he is a herald. But heed this warning: DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FIELDS! If you do, you will see a man with elongated limbs starting to move towards your house. You must lock yourself in a safe room with a crucifix, before it finds a way in.
