The Path of the Pumpkin casts you as Skar, a sentient pumpkin with a knack for solving crimes, and his partner Mr. FeeFee. This point-and-click adventure tasks you with tracking down a kidnapped girl forced into an arranged marriage, a case that quickly unravels into a tangled web of secrets. Players navigate hand-drawn scenes, interact with quirky characters, and piece together clues using a mix of inventory items and dialogue choices. The gameplay leans into classic adventure tropes with a focus on logic puzzles and environmental storytelling. What sticks is the game’s offbeat charm. The anthropomorphic pumpkin protagonist and whimsical art style give it a distinct identity, while the script leans into deadpan humor and absurdity. Though released in 2013, its cult following persists among fans of eccentric point-and-clicks. The mystery deepens with each act, balancing character moments with escalating stakes. At just $10, it’s a low-risk dive into a peculiar world where pumpkins wear trench coats and every click might crack the case wider open.
