The Pirates of Dark Water turns a cartoon adventure into a side-scrolling brawler where you fight through hordes of enemies and environmental hazards. Pick from three heroes, Prince Ren, Tula, or Ioz, each with distinct speed and power stats but shared attack mechanics. Use light and heavy strikes, block enemy moves, grab and toss foes, and dash between fights. Special moves let you hit groups of enemies but drain health. Levels mix combat with platforming, forcing you to dodge traps like collapsing bridges, rising water, and spiked pits while pushing forward. Storyline

The watery world of Mer is threatened by the deadly Dark Water. Prince Ren and his companions must find the Treasures of Rule to control the Dark Water and return Mer to its former glory. Always hot on their heels is the evil pirate-lord Bloth who wants to find the treasures to rule over Mer.
