The Shroom Project leans into its B movie horror roots with a mix of over the top story beats and straightforward gunplay. Playing as either a medic or soldier adds replay value with distinct playstyles. Though released in 2017 it maintains a cult following for its chaotic energy and retro aesthetic. The narrative might not win any awards but the focus on action and survival keeps things fun for fans of frenetic shooters.
