The Splitting: Chapter 2 is a point-and-click adventure that tasks you with navigating a creepy asylum and solving environmental puzzles to uncover its secrets. Playing as Daniel, you explore a world where people have lost their reflections, piecing together their stories through dialogue and investigation. The browser-based game leans into its episodic structure, offering bite-sized mystery segments that build on the first chapter’s setup. Interactions rely on classic adventure game mechanics, with context-sensitive clicks revealing hidden objects and advancing the plot. What sets this entry apart is its central premise, characters without reflections add a surreal layer to interactions and environments. The asylum’s design feels claustrophobic yet oddly inviting, with each room hinting at deeper lore. While the puzzles are straightforward, the narrative focus on fractured identities keeps the experience engaging. The episodic format means each chapter feels like a self-contained mystery, though long-term intrigue hinges on future releases.
The Splitting is a mystery adventure game. The game tells the story of Daniel, who wakes up one morning to find out his reflection in the mirror is gone, allowing him to pass through the mirror into the almost identical mirror world. In the first chapter, Daniel gets to know the mirrored world and its unique relationship with the real one, and starts investigating the disappearance of his reflection. In the 2nd chapter, Daniel arrives at an asylum, where he meets a group of people who lost their reflections. There he dives deeper into this world, and learns more details about the people he travels with.
