You play as a stone-carver who wakes up on Mount Bistun with no memory. The game blends fast melee combat and magic to fight off monstrous enemies while switching between the real world and a dreamlike realm of forgotten memories. Each action pushes the story forward as you uncover why nature is decaying and who’s behind the whispers guiding you. The camera stays tight on your character, emphasizing fluid movement and timing-based attacks. The game’s strongest hook is its storytelling. An all-knowing narrator describes your every thought and step, creating tension around their true identity. The dual-world exploration feels fresh, with environmental shifts that tie directly to the plot. While combat is satisfying, the mystery of the ancient force watching from the shadows drives the experience. Released in 2022, it runs smoothly on Switch and PS5, with a runtime around six to eight hours for most players.

Storyline

On the craggy slopes of Mount Bistun, a stone carver awakens with no memory of who he is nor how he came to be there. He soon discovers that a blight is squeezing the life out of nature, tainting the local wildlife and turning it hostile. Encouraged by a strange, pleading whisper, the man journeys between the real world and the mysterious place of forgotten memories, known as the Revelations Realm, in search of answers. But a colossal ancient evil is watching, waiting, and is not best pleased that its plans are being disrupted . . . All the while, an omniscient narrator recounts the man’s every step and details his innermost thoughts. But who is he? And how does he know so much about the befuddled stone carver?
