The Tentai Show is a bite-sized arcade game from Nintendo’s experimental Game Seminar. You control a space station armed with two portals: a black hole that sucks in objects and a white hole that flings them back. Defend Earth by grabbing incoming debris, stars, or enemies with the black hole and tossing them at threats. The touch screen handles aiming and firing, making each move quick and tactile. The game’s simplicity masks a sharp learning curve, timing and positioning matter as much as reflexes. Despite its short runtime, the game has a cult following among DSiWare enthusiasts. Its offbeat premise and responsive controls stand out, blending physics-based puzzles with chaotic action. Developed as a student project turned downloadable title, it feels like a polished tech demo with just enough depth to keep players coming back. Free when it launched, it’s still remembered for turning cosmic theory into a surprisingly addictive minigame.
