The Voice Inside is a tense adventure game that replaces traditional controls with voice commands. Navigate a dimly lit, abstract world as a character with limited vision, using spoken instructions to move, solve puzzles, and avoid threats. Your goal is to collect light sources scattered through the environment, restoring clarity while evading the encroaching Darkness that tracks your every step. A mysterious guide offers directions, but you must decide how much to trust as the environment grows more dangerous. The game’s reliance on voice input sets it apart, requiring a microphone for full play. Over 30 commands let you interact with the world, adding layers of strategy to each decision. Players describe the atmosphere as unnerving, balancing puzzle solving with the constant pressure of being hunted. Its 2021 release brought a fresh take on accessibility and gameplay mechanics.

Storyline

Control your poor, little & nearly blind character on a journey through different paths and find the 'Inner values' in form of light sources, to recover the light. Let 'the voice inside' guide you, as a voice from the off, to find your way out. But be careful, the enemy is close - 'Darkness' is chasing you! There is no keyboard or controller required, if you choose the voice-control type. You just need a headset or microphone to give the right commands & let your character move or perform actions in a dark, infected and abstract world.
