Total Vice is a 1997 arcade shooter from Konami that drops you into chaotic missions across Miami, Harlem, and New York. Using a light gun you take down targets in fast paced scenarios ranging from disarming smugglers to stopping gang ambushes. The game supports solo play or co op with a partner splitting the action or teaming up for bigger firepower. Between levels you navigate simple but punchy dialogue that sets up each mission’s stakes. The game stands out for its tight gun mechanics and variety of objectives that keep each session feeling distinct. While it never hit the same mainstream success as competitors it carved a niche among fans of over the top arcade shooting. Multiplayer matches especially shine with the competitive modes adding a layer of replayability. The 90s era design feels dated but the pure action remains satisfyingly brisk.
