Tournament Arkanoid is the second entry in Taito’s classic brick-busting series. You control a paddle to bounce a ball and destroy rows of blocks, each stage rearranged to test your reflexes. The challenge ramps up quickly, with layouts that force precise timing and quick decisions. The single-player mode pushes you through 32 levels, some notably tougher than the original game’s best stages. The sequel expands on its predecessor’s formula with more stages and trickier designs. While it lacks new power-ups or mechanics, the increased difficulty and tighter level design keep things fresh. Fans of the first Arkanoid might find the jump in complexity jarring, but it’s a direct evolution of the arcade staple.
