Towayami is a point-and-click adventure where you navigate a mysterious Japanese town trapped in endless night. Every action happens in pitch-black darkness except for the narrow light from your phone flashlight. You collect objects solve environmental puzzles and avoid unseen threats that trigger loud noises when you get too close. The interface forces you to rely on sound cues and limited visibility as you piece together why the town is abandoned and how to break the curse. The game’s most striking element is its use of darkness as a gameplay mechanic rather than a visual style. Players report heightened tension from the constant risk of provoking hostile entities while fumbling through dimly lit rooms and alleys. Though short and low on dialogue it earned 82/100 on Metacritic for its creative approach to fear and atmosphere. The challenge lies in learning when to move when to pause and how to interpret audio clues without seeing your surroundings.

Storyline
