Towelket: One More Time 3 Karaage Tanpopo is a narrative-focused RPG with a quirky sci-fi twist. Players take on the role of Kachil or Goko-chan, a pair of siblings miniaturized by a magical book's strange power. They must team up with a cast of oddball allies to stop the Kisechu, a crew of pint-sized aliens in fish-shaped helmets plotting world domination. Combat and exploration unfold through turn-based mechanics and dialogue choices, with a heavy emphasis on scripted events and character interactions. The game’s charm comes from its zany writing and retro aesthetics, built using RPG Maker 2000’s classic toolset. Developed by Kanashimi Hocchikisu and released in 2008, this PC-exclusive title runs on older systems and leans into late-2000s indie sensibilities. Its straightforward single-player format focuses on a self-contained story with six distinct alien bosses to defeat. While the production values show their age, fans of niche RPGs with over-the-top premises might appreciate the game’s dedication to its own eccentric universe. The dual protagonist options and sibling dynamic add minor replayability, though the plot sticks firmly to familiar genre tropes.
The main character is a boy named Kachil - in the remake a female protagonist named Goko-chan can be chosen. With their sister Kimiru they are shrunken by the mysterious power of a magical book. At that time, the Kisechu, a group of tiny aliens bent on conquering the Earth, appear! The main character's allies must band together and defeat the six fish-hat leaders of the Kisechu to put a stop to their evil ambitions.
