About

Townville, the Show is a satirical RPG set in a quirky American town where high school drama meets political chaos. You play as one of four teenagers with clashing ideologies: a punk film buff, a fiery feminist, a Trump-obsessed jock, or a confused idealist. Each character navigates schoolyard antics, personal struggles, and absurd scenarios inspired by real-world issues. The story unfolds in episodic chapters, letting you make choices that shape your perspective on everything from family dynamics to social activism. With irreverent humor and exaggerated personalities, it leans into the chaos of adolescence and the absurdity of public figures. This game stands out for its bold, often cringey take on modern culture, blending role-playing mechanics with TV show-style storytelling. Developer Memetic Studios leans hard into satire, with characters that lampoon political and social archetypes without pulling punches. While the 2020 release date coincided with a chaotic year in real politics, the game’s over-the-top scenarios feel eerily timely. It’s a short, single-player experience best suited for players who enjoy character-driven stories with a darkly comedic edge. The divisive tone and unapologetic humor might not appeal to everyone but leave a memorable impression for fans of edgy RPGs.
