About

Toxic Crusaders is a chaotic beat 'em up where you control a squad of misfit eco-warriors battling Dr. Killemoff’s pollution empire. Play as Toxie, a hulking mutant with a grudge, alongside Major Disaster, Nozone, and others as you punch, kick, and fling goo at hordes of enemies across six levels. The action leans into over-the-top cartoon violence, with moves like Toxie’s slam dunk takedowns and Headbanger’s guitar-swinging riffs. Simple controls let you focus on combos and crowd control, though the difficulty spikes sharply in later stages. The game’s charm lies in its absurd humor and vibrant, slime-soaked visuals. Characters have distinct personalities and quirks, from Junkyard’s trash-pile grappling hook to Nozone’s explosive entrance. While not a technical marvel by modern standards, its frenetic energy and lovable trash-metal aesthetic keep it memorable. A cult classic for fans of 90s brawler nonsense, it’s still a fun romp if you don’t mind the occasional frustrating boss fight.
