About

Trachi: Autonomy is a narrative-driven adventure where players piece together a fragmented story about a doomed city and three outsiders who set events into motion. The game uses a nonlinear structure requiring you to navigate disjointed timelines and perspectives to uncover how a small group’s actions led to a catastrophic war. Exploration is minimal but deliberate, focusing on dialogue and environmental clues to rebuild a mystery around hidden motives and personal failings. Each character’s account warps and overlaps forcing you to question what’s true and what’s being concealed. The game stands out for its dense layered storytelling and morally gray characters. Set in a fictional 1920s city-state it blends mystery and historical fiction with choices that feel weighty but never clear-cut. While puzzle elements are minimal the focus on dialogue and interpretation makes it a slow-burn experience that lingers. With a Metacritic score of 78 it’s praised for atmosphere and narrative ambition though some find its pacing deliberate to a fault. Best suited for players who enjoy figuring out dense scripts and ambiguous endings.

Storyline

On the 25th of August 1923, three operatives from the Ionian Intelligence Secretariat are about to enter the city-state of Trachi. Four years later, millions of lives have been lost to a war that engulfs the entire continent. In an isolated Sanatorium, a man expects a visitor. Both have seen what happened, back then. And soon enough, you'll see it, too. Some people just can't help but bring misery on others. Everyone has a secret. And everyone has a blind spot somewhere.
