Transformers: War for Cybertron is a third person shooter where you play as either Autobots or Decepticons during their civil war on the metallic planet Cybertron. Each faction has its own campaign letting you follow Optimus Prime’s rise or Megatron’s descent. Transform between robot and vehicle forms mid battle using a variety of high tech weapons. Fight across massive battlefields like crumbling cities and the planet’s Energon core with co op and single player options for solo or team play. Developed by High Moon Studios and published by Activision the game launched in 2010 for PlayStation 3 PC and Xbox 360. While online multiplayer servers shut down in 2020 the single player mode remains intact. The dual campaigns offer around 15, 20 hours per side with branching missions affecting faction outcomes. Though delisted from stores it still has a dedicated fanbase discussing strategies and mods online.

Storyline

Separate Autobot and Decepticon campaigns take you from Autobot and Decepticon cities, to the Energon core of Cybertron, to the outer reaches of the orbital debris while pitting brother against brother and friend against foe.
