Trikaya is a first-person puzzle game where you explore a crumbling ancient temple to recover elemental gems and rebuild a powerful artifact. Using abilities tied to wind, earth, and fire, you manipulate the environment to solve spatial challenges and uncover fragments of the temple’s lost history. The game emphasizes careful observation and creative thinking, with each puzzle requiring you to combine elements in sequence to progress. Developed by SMU Guildhall students, Trikaya stands out for its moody, hand-crafted atmosphere and methodical puzzle design. The temple’s decayed architecture and scattered lore pieces create a quiet, mysterious tone that complements the gameplay. While the core loop is straightforward, the interplay between elemental mechanics adds depth, encouraging players to experiment with order and timing.

Storyline

A fabled artifact locked away centuries ago due to its capabilities of manipulating the elements lies within an ancient temple. Due to the lasting passage of time, the artifact has become weakened and when approached the embedded elemental gems scatter from the artifact. The player wields the opportunity to capture and claim ownership of the priceless artifact, explore the archaic temple and recover all the missing elemental gems, and restore it to its ultimate potential.
