Trouble Witches Episode 1 Daughters of Amalgam is a bullet-hell shooter with a focus on fast-paced wave-based combat. Players control a witch tasked with retrieving fragments of a magical ring scattered across a war-torn fantasy realm. The gameplay emphasizes dodging密集 projectile patterns while firing rapid attacks, with upgrades unlocking new abilities to tackle increasingly chaotic encounters. Its approachable yet challenging difficulty makes it a gateway for newcomers to the genre while retaining depth for seasoned players. The game stands out for its vibrant art style and tight mechanics honed by Studio Siesta’s experience in the doujin scene. Though released in 2007, its level design and rhythm remain praised by fans of the subgenre. With its mix of strategic bullet-dodging and whimsical aesthetic, it laid the foundation for a series that later expanded into more complex iterations. The first entry still holds up as a brisk, satisfying challenge for those seeking intense action with a touch of fantasy charm.
The story is set in the magical country of Eihemland where a great witch named Amalgam has stolen a ring sealing away a powerful devil known as the Draupnhir, and divided the pieces of said ring to her children where they wreak havoc as they see fit. The king of Eihemland spread flyers all across the country with a award to anyone who can stop Amalgam and her children with any wish they desire. And of course, It's Up to You stop Amalgam's and her kids, and reclaim the ring of the Draupnhir.
