Turtles is a 1981 arcade game where you maneuver a main turtle through maze-like floors. Boxes hide either baby turtles or beetles when stepped on. Collect the babies, run from the beetles, and drop them in randomly placed houses. Use bombs to stun enemies temporarily, gathering more explosives in the maze. The game progresses through eight floors, with the final level followed by a short cutscene showing the turtles escaping, after which everything restarts from the bottom. The blend of puzzle planning and twitchy evasion makes it stand out for its era. Its minimalist visuals and looping structure reflect early 80s game design, while the co-op mode adds a layer of teamwork.
