About

Two Crude Dudes is a side-scrolling beat 'em up where you and a friend play as mercenaries storming a post-nuclear wasteland. You bash through crowds of mutated goons, smash tanks, and punch through environmental hazards in levels that mix city ruins and military bases. Combat is straightforward but aggressive, with basic punches, kicks, and weapon grabs. The co-op mode keeps things balanced by letting players tag in and out seamlessly. Missions loop between similar stages, but escalating boss fights and destructible scenery add variety. The game’s biggest draw is its chaotic energy. While the plot hinges on a mad scientist weaponizing chemicals in 20XX-era New York, the real fun is teaming up to unleash relentless violence. Its Sega Genesis port refined the arcade version’s responsiveness, making it one of the era’s most playable co-op brawlers. Despite repetitive level design, the option to play locally with a friend keeps it memorable for fans of old-school cooperative action.

Storyline

The year is 20XX. A nuclear weapon combined with chemicals made by a mad scientist explodes in the city of New York, turning many of the city's inhabitants into savage mutants willing to obey any command. The scientist establishes an organization he calls "Big Valley," consisting of these mutants and many advanced military weapons. He orders them to take the ruined city by force and refuse to let anyone enter. Desperate, the US government hires the help of two super-powered mercenaries to enter the city and eliminate the villains occupying it.
