Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 3: Night of the Quinkan is a side-scrolling action game where you play as Ty and Shazza in a chaotic future. The pair gets split during a time jump six months ahead, finding their home region overrun by Quinkan forces. Players switch between characters to solve environmental puzzles, battle enemies, and regroup allies to restore Bush Rescue. Combat mixes melee hits and ranged weapons while navigating shifting landscapes between the Dreaming and real world. Multiplayer lets two friends team up for co-op sections, though most levels require switching control between Ty and Shazza. The game received a 76% critic score on Metacritic for its tight controls and colorful Australian outback setting. Remastered visuals and sound polish the 2006 original, though some side quests feel repetitive. Best for fans of old-school platformers with a mythic twist.
Hot on the heels of Bush Rescue's defeat of Boss Cass and his island nation of Cassopolis, TY and Shazza are whisked back to the dreaming to help the Bunyips fight a new evil… The Quinkan! On their return to the present TY and Shazza are separated and TY ends up six months in the future. And worse still, the Quinkan invaded southern rivers, destroyed Burramudgee and caused Bush Rescue to disband. All would have been lost if not for "The General", the military leader that kept the remnants of society together. Now it’s up to TY to get the band back together, get help from some unusual new allies, and turn back the Quinkan invasion.
