About

Utacchi is a rhythm game where you tap and swipe with the DS stylus to hit notes as they fall. The screen works in book-style orientation, letting you play with one hand while moving the stylus across the lower half. Set in a candy-themed world, the game frames your musical inputs as a battle against invasive frog-like creatures spreading "touches" that threaten the kingdom. Each track blends standard rhythm mechanics with Konami's signature colorful style, letting you play solo or challenge others in multiplayer. The game's Japan-only release and 2010 launch date make it a niche find, but its quirky story and tactile controls stand out. While not widely reviewed, it draws from the same playful spirit as other Konami rhythm games. The stylus-based gameplay feels responsive, and the candy-frog conflict adds a lighthearted twist to the genre. With support for multiple players and a focus on physical interaction, it carves out a fun if forgotten corner of DS music gaming.

Storyline

In the Candy Kingdom, the gluttonous frogs' "touches" are largely breeding. In this state, the Candy Kingdom is eaten in whole by them, and that the candy and songs are "touches"! As the bad news is here, the increasingly popular K-SUKE and Nattsun's reach their sources.
