About

V-Frogger is a revamped take on the classic Frogger formula, bringing 16 levels of chaotic platforming to the Vectrex. You steer frogs through a grid of cars and logs, timing jumps to avoid getting squashed or swept away. Each round has a ticking clock adding pressure, and one misstep means restarting from scratch. The pause feature lets you catch your breath, though the challenge remains high. The game sharpens the original's mechanics with more varied obstacles and tighter controls. While it sticks to the core concept, the added break option makes it feel fresh. Retro fans might note its simplicity compared to modern titles, but the pure arcade tension is intact. With its straightforward design and tricky levels, it's a quick hit for those craving old-school precision.

Storyline

The arcade game Frogger involved players guiding their frogs across a busy, several lane street, then maneuvering through a water area in the second area of the game, jumping on logs and the backs of turtles and crocodiles in order to reach and fill up the five frog home bays at the top of the screen. Various obstacles and enemies would kill the players' frogs upon contact, as well as if they were to run out of time before making it to a frog bay, hit a top wall, drown in water, or pass too far to the left or right edges of the screen. V-Frogger is a clone of the arcade original with some graphical changes and enhancements.
