Veil of Ashes drops you into a charred industrial world where three factions clash over a rare energy source called Cinium. You build and command armies of steam-powered infantry, tanks, and hulking mechs in real time, using destructible terrain to gain the upper hand. The single-player campaigns focus on territorial control and resource management while multiplayer and co-op modes let you test your strategies against human opponents. Each faction has distinct unit strengths and playstyles requiring adaptability. The game's depth comes from its unit variety and environmental hazards like burning terrain that shifts battle dynamics. Storyline

In 1704, the world was consumed by an unprecedented inferno. Countless states, empires and rulers fell victim to the beginning of the end of the world. But with the fire came Cinium. Energetic fragments of the inferno, as white as angel feathers and incredibly powerful. It was to lay the future for all that was to come. 200 years later, old and new empires have risen from the remnants of the past. They find themselves in a world dominated by industry and ash. More and more land is being turned into lifeless deserts by the storms of embers and fire, while the sky is falling under a grey veil. Cinium drives the machinery of vital industry, in peace and in war. Powerful steam engines drive tanks and behemoths across the battlefields to defend or conquer the dwindling habitat.
