Venatrix lets you play as one of two characters navigating a nightmare fueled by cosmic horror. Choose Matthew Kolth, a paranormal investigator swinging between combat and survival as he confronts Lovecraftian terrors, or Della Hartfort, who relies on stealth to evade the same horrors while figuring out their origins. Both paths blend exploration with surreal dreamlike sequences that blur the line between reality and hallucination. The game mixes set-piece fights with tense moments where missteps mean instant death, all while piecing together a story about figuring out sanity and interdimensional threats. The standout is its dual narratives offering contrasting perspectives on the same events, with each character’s skills shaping the experience. While Matthew’s gunplay feels visceral and chaotic, Della’s approach emphasizes patience and environmental awareness. Though the story leans into familiar cosmic horror tropes, the shifting tone between action and stealth keeps things fresh. Storyline

We choose to play as either Matthew Kolth, an occult obsessed paranormal investigator, into nightmarish scenes to fight several different terrifying monsters from ghastly Lovecraftian-inspired realms, or as Della Hartfort, as she slithers her way stealthy to avoid the same monsters Matthew is emptying his bullets upon. Join either Mr. Kolth or Mrs.Hartfort as they both try to make sense of a hellish adventure that leads them into the depths of their own psyche and back again. Live through their difference of reality-gaze which merges fiction and ethereal dream sequences and go on to fight against evil in this dimension…and the next.
