Void Terrarium 2: Deluxe Edition is a turn-based RPG with survival elements set in a fungal-ridden post-apocalypse. You control Robbie a robot and a reactivated AI working to keep Toriko a fragile human girl alive. Progress involves managing a contained ecosystem to filter toxins while fending off hostile factions and mutated threats. Combat blends tactical positioning with resource scarcity creating tension between exploration and conservation. The narrative unfolds through sparse but poignant dialogue as you piece together humanity’s collapse and Toriko’s mysterious resilience. The Deluxe Edition adds a digital soundtrack and softcover art book expanding on the game’s bleak yet beautiful aesthetic. Fans highlight its atmospheric storytelling and challenging resource management mechanics which require careful planning to keep Toriko’s environment sustainable. With a 78% critic score on Metacritic the game is praised for its thematic cohesion though some note pacing issues in later acts. The strategy layer appeals to fans of methodical gameplay while the melancholic tone resonates with fans of cyberpunk survival tales.
Our story takes place several hundred years after toxic mycelium contaminated the atmosphere and caused the extinction of the human race. Somewhere in the wastelands, our brave robot happens upon Toriko, a lone girl. Soon after, Robbie meets factoryAI, and they work together to create a terrarium for Toriko in order to protect her. Keeping Toriko alive is no simple task. It took all their efforts to combat the myriad fungoid diseases in the air. In addition, they had to contend with those who sought Toriko's demise to restore the human race... And as a result of their struggle against them, factoryAI was shut down... After overcoming these challenges, it seemed as though Toriko could finally live in peace...for a time. Now, Toriko is exhibiting symptoms of disease once again. Her body is slowly deteriorating. This is unlike any illness she's ever suffered through before, and nobody seems to know anything about it. In their search for answers, Robbie and factoryAI turn to Toriko's–and the human race's–past. The ordeals before them must be overcome...for Toriko's sake.
