About

Vorrak is a single-player shooter that tasks you with piloting a fighter through a heavily defended space fortress. You navigate narrow corridors of asteroids and avoid waves of enemy ships while targeting the core of a massive orbital structure. The gameplay focuses on rapid reflexes and precise timing as you weave through laser fire and explosive hazards. Your objective remains straightforward but perilous: destroy the fortress’s energy source before enemy reinforcements overwhelm your position. The game’s challenge stems from its unforgiving difficulty and tightly designed levels. Waves of cruisers and sudden ambushes test your ability to balance offense and survival. While the 1982 release date makes it a relic of early arcade-style design, the core loop of dodging, shooting, and repeating holds up for fans of old-school intensity. The story of liberating an oppressed planet adds stakes that feel surprisingly weighty for a game built around pixelated explosions and tight corridors.

Storyline

The harsh sunlight of Chi Draconis glints off your datavisor as you send your high delta-vee fighter diving for the Vorrakian orbital fortress. The fortress is huge, carved out of a massive asteroid, with endless patrols of cruisers. It seems impregnable. But long range neutrino scans have revealed a flaw. A small fissure in the north east quadrant. One that leads all the way to the core! You and your wing mates are the last hope of the enslaved people of Draconis. One of you must penetrate all the deadly defences to destroy the fortresses power emerald, or the last flicker of freedom around Chi Draconis will die - forever!
