Vortex is a straightforward arcade game where you guide a paddle around a circular wall to bounce a ball and break bricks. The playing field is a cylinder with blocks arranged along the inner curve. You use the device's click wheel to move the paddle left or right. Each collision sends the ball ricocheting toward bricks. Clear all blocks to advance. Simple mechanics with a twist from the curved layout. The game’s main hook is its geometric shift from traditional grid-based brick-breakers. The circular wall creates unpredictable bounces that require quick adjustments. Released in 2006 as one of the early iOS titles, it offers minimal polish but functions as a competent time-killer for short sessions.

Storyline

Vortex is similar to Arkanoid/Breakout, in which you use a ball to destroy bricks. However, the bricks are arranged along the inside of a cylinder. You use the click wheel to move the paddle around the cylinder to control where the ball goes.
