"Blade Arcus from Shining: Battle Arena is a decent offering in the way of fringe fighting games. Granted, it's not quite in the realm of "poverty" (less popular games with robust system mechanics and fun gameplay), it still offers a good time to anyone looking for some variety in their fighters. Ultimately, though, a severe lack of content combined with a $30 price point makes Blade Arcus hard to recommend to anyone besides big time fighting game enthusiasts and fans of the Shining series."

VR Figure from Shining: Kirika Towa Alma is a virtual reality title that lets players engage with a character from the Shining Resonance series. Two main modes offer different experiences: one lets you rotate and examine Kirika from all angles in 3D space while the other replays scripted dating scenarios. Interactions are limited to passive observation and preset events with no dialogue or decision-making involved. The game leans heavily on VR's ability to place players in close proximity to an animated character. While it has a small but dedicated following among series veterans community polls show mixed reactions with some praising the novelty and others calling it a shallow use of the medium. At 15 minutes of real-time play it serves more as a curiosity than a full experience.
