Wanted is a vertical scrolling shooter that drops you in the boots of a no-nonsense bounty hunter chasing the west's most dangerous outlaws. Each level tasks you with capturing fugitives marked by escalating rewards, with their henchmen swarming your path as you navigate bullet-sponge terrain. The challenge ramps up fast, tougher enemies, tighter corridors, and faster-firepower as you progress toward a showdown with the main villain. Combat is all about timing and reflexes, with limited health and ammo forcing you to pick your shots carefully. The game's fixed-screen shooter mechanics and pixelated cowboy aesthetics harken back to early '90s arcade vibes, but the difficulty curve doesn't pull punches. What sticks out is the relentless tension of each stage, where one misstep means respawning at the start. The final boss battle feels like the climax of a spaghetti western, pitting you against a gun-slinging brute who spams bullets like confetti. While the retro graphics and chiptune soundtrack might feel dated, the core loop of dodging, shooting, and surviving remains sharp. Storyline

Arkansas, 1880. You are the toughest and roughest bounty-hunter that ever toted a shootin' iron. But this time you are up against four of the deadliest varmints in the west! What's more, they've got a whole bunch of gunslingers and sharpshooters working for them. So this is no job for greenhorns, partner. The first job is to bring in the outlaw with $5000 on his ugly mug. Next will come his buddy, worth $10000. The third of these no-good twisters has $15000 printed under his picture. Arrest number four and you pocket a coll $20000! When you've made sure those guys are behind bars, their boss will be calling you out for the showdown. When the smoke clears, only one of you will be standing. It is to be YOU or HIM? Folks say he's faster'n a rattle-snake, so, you'll need every ounce of skill and speed you've got to lay him out. Win that last gunfight, partner, and you'll go down in the golden legends of the west as the best there ever was!
