Water Ski drops you into the chaotic Pharonna River where you juggle steering the boat and guiding your skier through a gauntlet of hazards. The screen scrolls upward as you race against the clock, dodging rocks, logs, and sudden bends. Each level throws in ramps that let you grab bonus points if you time your jumps right, though skipping even one means missing out on big points. You start with four skiers, but one crash strips you of a life, and there’s no second chances once they’re all gone. The real fun comes from balancing speed and precision. Taking those ramps adds massive points but requires split-second timing. Missing a turn or miscalculating a jump can send you splashing into the river bed. With its fast pace and punishing obstacles, it’s a test of reflexes and strategy that keeps the tension high. The 1988 release may show its age but the core challenge still holds up for quick bursts of frantic fun.
