Wave Magic VR lets you play as a wizard in a virtual realm battling hulking golems. You conjure spells using motion controls or handheld wands to blast, freeze or summon creatures against waves of enemies. The simple RPG loop focuses on upgrading abilities and surviving increasingly tough encounters. Combat feels responsive in VR but the world beyond fights is sparse. The game leans into early VR experimentation with support for Leap Motion and Vive controllers. While not graphically ambitious it has a cult following among VR enthusiasts. Released in late 2016 it shows early design choices that influenced later VR titles. Shorter than most RPGs but the spellcasting mechanics remain satisfying for fans of action-heavy magic systems.
