W.I.N. is a two-player strategy game where you race to collect symbols on a shared "Win card" by maneuvering a dot across a grid. Your dot remains hidden until the reset button is pressed, at which point all moves are revealed. The goal is to be the first to complete a line of symbols on your card, forcing opponents to block your progress while avoiding their own. It plays like a digital version of tic-tac-toe on a more complex grid, with the twist of timed reveals and overlapping objectives. This 1973 release is one of the earliest known video games, designed for Magnavox Odyssey's cartridge-based system. The use of overlays to create different game boards was a clever workaround for limited hardware, letting players project the Odyssey's simple graphics onto custom templates. Fun fact: it launched on New Year's Eve 1973 in the US, but some regions got it at midnight as 1974 began.
