Wooden Sen'SeY throws you into a jumbled Japan-meets-steampunk world where Goro, a village chief with a chip on his shoulder, swings axes through colorful levels. You’ll slice, smash, and grapple your way across platforming challenges while dodging wacky enemies. The controls stick to simple button mashing but the level design keeps things fresh with shifting terrain and physics-based puzzles. Released in 2012 it runs on older hardware and still looks sharp with its cartoonish 3D art. The humor lands hit or miss but the over-the-top axe antics and retro difficulty curve will appeal to fans of old school action games. Available on PC Linux Mac and Wii U it’s a short burst of chaotic fun that clocks in under ten hours.
